Arduino-Based Toxic Gas Detector using MQ2 Gas Sensor
Keywords:
Microcontroller, Detector, Gas Sensor, Arduino, MQ2 SensorAbstract
Gas is a flammable mixture composed of hydrocarbon gases, primarily consisting of methane. It may also contain ethane, propane, butane, pentane, and sulfur-containing gases. Fundamentally, this circuit is designed to assist in detecting the presence of toxic gases in mining environments or natural caves. Therefore, a device titled "Arduino-Based Toxic Gas Detector using Gas Sensor" was designed to function as a gas detection system. It utilizes a gas sensor to detect the presence of gas, where the output results are displayed on an LCD screen showing specific status messages. Additionally, the system provides an audible alert in the form of sound waves generated by a buzzer connected to the gas detection circuit.
